Apple’s version of UNIX for the Macintosh, called A/UX, does not support AppleTalk built-into the logic board, as it is with the Macintosh SE/30 and other Macintosh computers with a compact design.
Special coprocessor cards can be installed in the NuBus slots of the Macintosh II family of computers for UNIX operations. Such cards also may be developed for the Macintosh SE/30.
